Citi AAdvantage Executive Offers 75K Miles For Spending $7,500

August 1, 2017

Citi AAdvantage Executive Card

The Citi AAdvantage Executive Card is now providing an offer that can get card holders 75,000 American Airlines Miles. There are great perks being offered other than this promotion; however, you need to keep in mind that annual fee for this card is a considerable amount of money. This offer is identical to the one that we saw last month. This shows that they got the response that they were hoping for, and consequentially, extended the offer.

1. All about the offer

We’ll be upfront and tell you that the bonus comes with a catch. It always does, and the company knows how to make it worth your while. 75,000 AA miles is a lot, and they can be used on any Oneworld Alliance network, which includes American Airlines (obviously), Qantas, Etihad, Finnair, Cathay Pacific, and Japan Airlines. In order to earn the bonus, card holders need to spend $7,500 in the first three months. On top of that, they don’t waive the $450 annual fee in the first year either. Basically, you’ll be spending a lot of money during just the first half of the year alone, simply to earn that bonus.

Is it worth spending such a large amount on? The answer is yes, it is. You’ll be receiving the following benefits.

  • Access to the Admirals Club which includes access for authorized users at no extra cost.
  • You will qualify for 10,000 Elite Qualifying Miles if you spend $ 40,000 or more.
  • Foreign transaction fee won’t be charged
  • The first bag checked in bag will not be charged

2. Who is eligible?

The American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles are not accessible to those who have previously had any of the Citi AAdvantage either opened or closed in the last two years. Sadly, this might disqualify a number of our readers, who may have been hoping to earn the bonus. For everyone else, this is probably an ideal time to sign up for a new credit card. After spending $7,500 in the first three months, you’ll earn a massive bonus which will not only get you great perks, but you might be flying first class on an award ticket during your next trip.

To conclude

Over the last couple of years we’ve seen massive bonuses as high as 100,000 miles on the Citi AAdvantage Executive, but now those days are gone. 75,000 is still a great bonus and probably one of the best offers you’ll get on any card. The only other offer that rivals this amount is 60,000 miles. The card holder needs to spend $7,500 in the first three months, which is doable, but make sure you have the monetary means to actually do it. We don’t want our readers to get into unwanted credit card debt.

The card does charge a painful amount for its annual fee, which arguably could be one of the highest in the industry. However, there are still those who are still interested in the bonus, especially when the Admiral Club membership is involved.
